When CONFIG_OF is disabled, the 'data' variable is not used at all
because of_match_node() turns into a dummy macro:
drivers/media/platform/mediatek/mdp3/mtk-mdp3-comp.c: In function 'mdp_comp_sub_create':
drivers/media/platform/mediatek/mdp3/mtk-mdp3-comp.c:1038:36: error: unused variable 'data' [-Werror=unused-variable]
1038 | const struct mtk_mdp_driver_data *data = mdp->mdp_data;
| ^~~~
Remove the variable again by moving the pointer dereference into the
of_match_node call.

gcc warns about some functions being unused when CONFIG_PM_SLEEP
is disabled:
drivers/media/platform/nxp/imx8-isi/imx8-isi-core.c:328:12: error: 'mxc_isi_pm_resume' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-function]

drivers/media/platform/nxp/imx8-isi/imx8-isi-core.c:314:12: error: 'mxc_isi_pm_suspend' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-function]
314 | static int mxc_isi_pm_suspend(struct device *dev)
| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Use the modern SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS()/RUNTIME_PM_OPS() helpers in place
of the old SET_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS()/SET_RUNTIME_PM_OPS() ones.
By convention, use pm_ptr() to guard the reference to the operations.
This makes no difference as long as the driver requires CONFIG_PM,
but is what users of SET_RUNTIME_PM_OPS() are supposed to do.

When adding proper support for V4L2_FIELD_ALTERNATE it was missed that
this field format should trigger an interrupt for each field, not just
for the whole frame. Fix this by marking it as progressive in the
capture setup, which will then select the correct interrupt mode.
Tested on both Gen2 and Gen3 with the result of a doubling of the frame
rate for V4L2_FIELD_ALTERNATE. From a PAL video source the frame rate is
now 50, which is expected for alternate field capture.

The #if check is wrong, leading to a build failure:
drivers/media/platform/nxp/imx8-isi/imx8-isi-hw.c: In function 'mxc_isi_channel_set_inbuf':
drivers/media/platform/nxp/imx8-isi/imx8-isi-hw.c:33:5: error: "CONFIG_ARCH_DMA_ADDR_T_64BIT" is not defined, evaluates to 0 [-Werror=undef]
33 | #if CONFIG_ARCH_DMA_ADDR_T_64BIT
| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This could just be an #ifdef, but it seems nicer to just remove the
check entirely. Apparently the only reason for the #ifdef is to avoid
another warning:
drivers/media/platform/nxp/imx8-isi/imx8-isi-hw.c:55:24: error: right shift count >= width of type [-Werror=shift-count-overflow]
But this is best avoided by using the lower_32_bits()/upper_32_bits()
helpers.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core
Pull driver core updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the large set of driver core changes for 6.4-rc1.
Once again, a busy development cycle, with lots of changes happening
in the driver core in the quest to be able to move "struct bus" and
"struct class" into read-only memory, a task now complete with these
changes.
This will make the future rust interactions with the driver core more
"provably correct" as well as providing more obvious lifetime rules
for all busses and classes in the kernel.
The changes required for this did touch many individual classes and
busses as many callbacks were changed to take const * parameters
instead. All of these changes have been submitted to the various
subsystem maintainers, giving them plenty of time to review, and most
of them actually did so.
Other than those changes, included in here are a small set of other
things:
- kobject logging improvements
- cacheinfo improvements and updates
- obligatory fw_devlink updates and fixes
- documentation updates
- device property cleanups and const * changes
- firwmare loader dependency fixes.

The pvrusb2 driver struct class logic was dynamically creating a class
that should have just been static as it did not do anything special and
was only a wrapper around a stock "struct class" implementation. Clean
this all up by making a static struct class and modifying the code to
correctly reference it.
By doing so, lots of unneeded lines of code were removed, and #ifdef
logic was cleaned up so that the .c files are not cluttered up with
extra complexity following the proper kernel coding style.

The module pointer in class_create() never actually did anything, and it
shouldn't have been requred to be set as a parameter even if it did
something. So just remove it and fix up all callers of the function in

There is no need to manually set the owner of a struct class, as the
registering function does it automatically, so remove all of the
explicit settings from various drivers that did so as it is unneeded.
This allows us to remove this pointer entirely from this structure going
forward.

The problem was caused by the fact that the driver does not check
whether the endpoints it uses are actually present and have the
appropriate types. This can be fixed by adding a simple check of
these endpoints (and similarly for the radio-shark driver).

This reverts commit a837e5161cff, which broke probing of the venus
driver, at least on the SC7180 SoC HP X2 Chromebook:
qcom-venus aa00000.video-codec: Adding to iommu group 11
qcom-venus aa00000.video-codec: non legacy binding
qcom-venus aa00000.video-codec: failed to reset venus core
qcom-venus: probe of aa00000.video-codec failed with error -110
Matthias Kaehlcke also reported that the same change caused a regression
in SC7180 and sc7280, that prevents AOSS from entering sleep mode during
system suspend. So let's revert this commit for now to fix both issues.

The runtime suspend/resume functions are only referenced from the
dev_pm_ops, but they use the old SET_RUNTIME_PM_OPS() helper that
requires a __maybe_unused annotation to avoid a warning:
drivers/media/i2c/imx290.c:1082:12: error: unused function 'imx290_runtime_resume' [-Werror,-Wunused-function]
static int imx290_runtime_resume(struct device *dev)
^
drivers/media/i2c/imx290.c:1090:12: error: unused function 'imx290_runtime_suspend' [-Werror,-Wunused-function]
static int imx290_runtime_suspend(struct device *dev)
^
Convert this to the new RUNTIME_PM_OPS() helper that so this is not
required. To improve this further, also use the pm_ptr() helper that
lets the dev_pm_ops get dropped entirely when CONFIG_PM is disabled.
A related mistake happened in the of_match_ptr() macro here, which like
SET_RUNTIME_PM_OPS() requires the match table to be marked as
__maybe_unused, though I could not reproduce building this without
CONFIG_OF. Remove the of_match_ptr() here as there is no point in
dropping the match table in configurations without CONFIG_OF.

The __find_restype() function loops over the m5mols_default_ffmt[]
array, and the termination condition ends up being wrong: instead of
stopping when the iterator becomes the size of the array it traverses,
it stops after it has already overshot the array.
Now, in practice this doesn't likely matter, because the code will
always find the entry it looks for, and will thus return early and never
hit that last extra iteration.
But it turns out that clang will unroll the loop fully, because it has
only two iterations (well, three due to the off-by-one bug), and then
clang will end up just giving up in the middle of the loop unrolling
when it notices that the code walks past the end of the array.
And that made 'objtool' very unhappy indeed, because the generated code
just falls off the edge of the universe, and ends up falling through to
the next function, causing this warning:
drivers/media/i2c/m5mols/m5mols.o: warning: objtool: m5mols_set_fmt() falls through to next function m5mols_get_frame_desc()
Fix the loop ending condition.

Pull gpio updates from Bartosz Golaszewski:
"We have some new drivers, significant refactoring of existing intel
platforms, lots of improvements all around, mass conversion to using
immutable irqchips by drivers that had not been converted individually
yet and some changes in the core library code.
Summary:
New drivers:
- add a driver for the Loongson GPIO controller
- add a driver for the fxl6408 I2C GPIO expander
- add a GPIO module containing code common for Intel Elkhart Lake and
Merrifield platforms
- add a driver for the Intel Elkhart Lake platform reusing the code
from the intel tangier library
GPIOLIB core:
- GPIO ACPI improvements
- simplify gpiochip_add_data_with_keys() fwnode handling
- cleanup header inclusions (remove unneeded ones, order the rest
alphabetically)

drop a duplicated check in gpiod_find_and_request())
- reshuffle the code to remove unnecessary forward declarations
- coding style cleanups and improvements
- add a helper for accessing device fwnodes
- small updates in docs
Driver improvements:
- convert all remaining GPIO irqchip drivers to using immutable
irqchips
- drop unnecessary of_match_ptr() macro expansions
- shrink the code in gpio-merrifield significantly by reusing the
code from gpio-tangier + minor tweaks to the driver code
- remove MODULE_LICENSE() from drivers that can only be built-in
- add device-tree support to gpio-loongson1
- use new regmap features in gpio-104-dio-48e and gpio-pcie-idio-24
- minor tweaks and fixes to gpio-xra1403, gpio-sim, gpio-tegra194,
gpio-omap, gpio-aspeed, gpio-raspberrypi-exp
- shrink code in gpio-ich and gpio-pxa
- Kconfig tweak for gpio-pmic-eic-sprd"

There are only a handful of users of gpio_export() and
related functions.
As these are just wrappers around the modern gpiod_export()
helper, remove the wrappers and open-code the gpio_to_desc
in all callers to shrink the legacy API.

devm_clk_get() will return either an error or NULL, which the driver
handles, continuing to use the clock of reading the value of the
clock-frequency property.
However, the value of ov5670->xvclk is left as-is and the other clock
framework functions aren't capable of handling error values.
Use devm_clk_get_optional() to obtain NULL instead of -ENOENT.

The current implementation of the mxc_isi_channel_enable() function has
a hard 300ms sleep. This was copied from the NXP BSP, which has since
dropped the sleep in a commit that implied the delay was meant to wait
for the sensor to be "stable". As the sensor is started after the ISI,
the delay won't affect sensor operation. Drop it.

The Image Sensing Interface (ISI) combines image processing pipelines
with DMA engines to process and capture frames originating from a
variety of sources. The inputs to the ISI go through Pixel Link
interfaces, and their number and nature is SoC-dependent. They cover
both capture interfaces (MIPI CSI-2 RX, HDMI RX) and memory inputs.

opened subdev device node, and the client must set the capabilities for
each opened subdev.
For now we only add a single flag, V4L2_SUBDEV_CLIENT_CAP_STREAMS, which
indicates that the client is streams-aware.
The reason for needing such a flag is as follows:
Many structs passed via ioctls, e.g. struct v4l2_subdev_format, contain
reserved fields (usually a single array field). These reserved fields
can be used to extend the ioctl. The userspace is required to zero the
reserved fields.
We recently added a new 'stream' field to many of these structs, and the
space for the field was taken from these reserved arrays. The assumption
was that these new 'stream' fields are always initialized to zero if the
userspace does not use them. This was a mistake, as, as mentioned above,
the userspace is required to zero the _reserved_ fields. In other words,
there is no requirement to zero this new stream field, and if the
userspace doesn't use the field (which is the case for all userspace
applications at the moment), the field may contain random data.
This shows that the way the reserved fields are defined in v4l2 is, in
my opinion, somewhat broken, but there is nothing to do about that.
To fix this issue we need a way for the userspace to tell the kernel
that the userspace has indeed set the 'stream' field, and it's fine for
the kernel to access it. This is achieved with the new ioctl, which the
userspace should usually use right after opening the subdev device node.

V4L2_STD_ALL advertises more standards than these boards
actually support. This causes a V4L2 compliance issue. Limit
the supported standards to those that are actually implemented.

The vbi stream comes from the same video input as the video
stream. So all the related ioctls to that are just as valid
for the vbi stream.
