* src/system.h (PARAMS, PROTOTYPES): Remove; no longer needed.
(IF_LINT): New macro, to pacify GCC.
* src/analyze.c (diag, compareseq): Use IF_LINT.
* src/cmp.c (cmp): Likewise.
* src/diff3.c (process_diff): Likewise. Also, prefer NULL to 0.
* src/ifdef.c (do_printf_spec, scan_char_literal): Likewise.
* src/sdiff.c (edit): Likewise.
