In the interest of making long-term branch maintenance incur as little
technical debt on us as possible, we should not maintain any files on
the branch we are not actually using.
This has the added effect of making it extremely clear when merging CLs
from the main branch when changes have the possibility to affect us.
The follow-on CL adds a convenience script to actually pull updates from
the main branch and generate a CL for the update.

Each board defines its own callback lid_angle_peripheral_enable().
The implementation is very similar. Create a common implementation
and reduce the duplicated code.
This CL removes the board callbacks which are identifical to the
common callback. If it is slightly different, keep it and add
the __override tag.
The check of TEST_BUILD is unnecessary as the board callback is not
linked in the test build.

Change the name to disable CC passthrough on the SVY682x PPC from
CONFIG_SYV682X_NO_CC to CONFIG_USBC_PPC_SYV682X_NO_CC to match the
naming convention of other PPC options.
This also corrects a non-fatal error in the firmware-eq CQ about a new
ad-hoc EC config option.

The USB Type-C Altmode allows for protocols other than USB to be
transferred over a USB connection. Chromebooks use this functionality to
transfer DisplayPort on USB signals. This is achieved through USB-PD
handshake through SVDMs to discover, configure, and to enter or exit Alt
modes. When DisplayPort as an Alt Mode is enabled, allowable
functionalities are:
-- SS and high speed USB functionality and two-lane DP.
-- HS USB functionality and 4-lane DP.
Chromebooks honor Multifunction bit set in the DPStatus message sent by
a dock. However, for development purposes we would like to have control
to honor the MF bit or ignore it, there by achieving 2-lane DP vs 4-lane
DP functionality. 4-lane DP functionality is required to test higher
resolution monitors such as 4k60.

The SYV682 shouldn't have VCONN supplied to its host side CC pins, but
on Octopus these pins aren't used and the TCPC must provide VCONN.
Since this is a non-standard configuration, make an exception for these

not pass through CC.

The ALERT_L of SYV682A will be kept low when there are any pending bits
waited for host to process and the driver itself will maintain the
flags like OCP and 5V_OC by monitoring the the CONTROL_4 and STATUS
registers. As a result
1. we need to enable both GPIO_INT_[FALLING|RISING] in order to set
/ clear self maintained flags.
2. CONFIG_USBC_PPC_DEDICATED_INT is defined to monitor ALERT_L
status by reading the GPIO state directly.

EFS2 boards need to call system_jumped_late in HOOK_INIT to avoid
running init code twice per boot.
system_jumped_to_this_image and system_jumped_late are functionally
equivalent for non EFS2 boards.
This patch will prevent system_jumped_to_this_image from being used
for EFS2 boards when code is copied from a past project.

Required by Android CDD - Section 7.3.1 - Paragraph C.1.4
Modified mechanically with:
for i in $(grep -lr "\.default_range" board); do
sed -i '/.default_range =/s#\(.*\.default_range = \).* /\
\* g.*#\14, /* g, to meet CDD 7.3.1/C-1-4 reqs */#' $i
done
Manually reworked to only change the accelerometer that matters to
android:
The lid accelerometer or the base accelerometer if the base also hosts
the gyroscope.
This is only for future EC, no need to land the change on branches:
mems_setup will take care to set accelerometer ranges at 4g on startup.

Currently board_override_features_flags0/1 are enabled by
CONFIG_EC_FEATURE_BOARD_OVERRIDE.
This patch defines the callbacks as overridable. It will
allow us to remove CONFIG_EC_FEATURE_BOARD_OVERRIDE and
the redundancy it incurs.

GMR sensors can be used to
(1) detect clamshell/tablet mode
(2) detect lid open/closed
But hall sensors can only do (2).
Therefore the naming related to "hall sensor" for tablet mode
application is incorrect.
This patch performs the following renaming to better reflect the reality:
config:
CONFIG_HALL_SENSOR -> CONFIG_GMR_TABLET_MODE
CONFIG_HALL_SENSOR_CUSTOM -> CONFIG_GMR_TABLET_MODE_CUSTOM
CONFIG_DPTF_MOTION_LID_NO_HALL_SENSOR ->
CONFIG_DPTF_MOTION_LID_NO_GMR_SENSOR
GPIO:
HALL_SENSOR_GPIO_L -> GMR_TABLET_MODE_GPIO_L
functions:
hall_sensor_disable() -> gmr_tablet_switch_disable()
hall_sensor_isr() -> gmr_tablet_switch_isr()
hall_sensor_int() -> gmr_tablet_switch_init()
variable:
hall_sensor_at_360 -> gmr_sensor_at_360

Opt for 7bit slave addresses in EC code. If 8bit is
expected by a driver, make it local and show this in
the naming.
Use __7b, __7bf and __8b as name extensions for i2c/spi
addresses used in the EC codebase. __7b indicates a
7bit address by itself. __7bf indicates a 7bit address
with optional flags attached. __8b indicates a 8bit
address by itself.
Allow space for 10bit addresses, even though this is
not currently being used by any of our attached
devices.
These extensions are for verification purposes only and
will be removed in the last pass of this ticket. I want
to make sure the variable names reflect the type to help
eliminate future 7/8/7-flags confusion.
