Update to latest stable versions of GNU Patch, & GNU Bison
Also, switch to using upstream v2.4.6 tag of GNU Libtool.
This is easy to do once definitions V8 is merged -- no more
.gitmodules patching!
Tested by building a minimal-system-x86_64
