* Revert "arm: config: fix default console only to specify the device"Seung-Woo Kim2018-12-261-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 232ed3ca534708527a9515c7c41bc3542949525c. In exynos boards, ${console} is used to set bootargs but it sets without "console=", so CONFIG_DEFAULT_CONSOLE for these boards is designated with "console=" but it is removed. So revert the commit. * Removed unused references to CONFIG_SERIALxAdam Ford2018-08-171-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | After creating CONS_INDEX and migrating a bunch of boards to it, there are a bunch of defined references to CONFIG_SERIALx which are not referenced in any C code or #ifdef, so they can now be removed Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>

* configs: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKSTom Rini2018-08-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8. * SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

* configs: Migrate CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASETom Rini2018-02-111-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers. I did not attempt to add more default values in and for now will leave that to maintainers. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since CONFIG_DEFAULT_CONSOLE is already started with "console=", the console argument in CONFIG_EXTRA_ENV_SETTINGS is expanded to "console=console=ttySAC1,115200n8" and this causes the wrong console device. #define CONFIG_DEFAULT_CONSOLE "console=ttySAC1,115200n8\0" ... #define CONFIG_EXTRA_ENV_SETTINGS \ "console=" CONFIG_DEFAULT_CONSOLE Signed-off-by: Dongjin Kim <tobetter@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

* Convert CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC/NAND/UBI and NOWHERE to KconfigSimon Glass2017-07-251-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. * kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov2015-08-131-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. * exynos: Move common exynos settings into a common fileSimon Glass2014-10-081-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Since exynos4 and exyno5 share many settings, we should move these into a common file to avoid duplication. In effect the changes are that all exynos boards now have EXT4 and FAT write support. This affects exynos5250 and exynos5420 which previously did not.
