* dm: i2c: use CONFIG_IS_ENABLED macro for DM_I2C/DM_I2C_GPIOIgor Opaniuk2021-02-214-15/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use CONFIG_IS_ENABLED() macro, which provides more convenient way to check $(SPL)DM_I2C/$(SPL)DM_I2C_GPIO configs for both SPL and U-Boot proper. CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C) expands to: - 1 if CONFIG_SPL_BUILD is undefined and CONFIG_DM_I2C is set to 'y', - 1 if CONFIG_SPL_BUILD is defined and CONFIG_SPL_DM_I2C is set to 'y', - 0 otherwise. All occurences were replaced automatically using these bash cmds: $ find . -type f -exec sed -i 's/ifndef CONFIG_DM_I2C/if !CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C)/g' {} + $ find . -type f -exec sed -i 's/ifdef CONFIG_DM_I2C/if CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C)/g' {} + $ find . -type f -exec sed -i 's/defined(CONFIG_DM_I2C)/CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C)/g' {} + $ find . -type f -exec sed -i 's/ifndef CONFIG_DM_I2C_GPIO/if !CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C_GPIO)/g' {} + $ find . -type f -exec sed -i 's/ifdef CONFIG_DM_I2C_GPIO/if CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C_GPIO)/g' {} + $ find . -type f -exec sed -i 's/defined(CONFIG_DM_I2C_GPIO)/CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C_GPIO)/g' {} + Reviewed-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Igor Opaniuk <igor.opaniuk@foundries.io> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com> Reviewed-by: Priyanka Jain <priyanka.jain@nxp.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We use the U_BOOT_ prefix (i.e. U_BOOT_DRIVER) to declare a driver but in every other case we just use DM_. Update the alias macros to use the DM_ prefix. We could perhaps rename U_BOOT_DRIVER() to DM_DRIVER(), but this macro is widely used and there is at least some benefit to indicating it us a U-Boot driver, particularly for code ported from Linux. So for now, let's keep that name. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

But with driver model now used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. This reduces verbosity and makes it easier to read. * core: add support for U_BOOT_DRIVER_ALIASWalter Lozano2020-07-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently when using OF_PLATDATA the binding between devices and drivers is done trying to match the compatible string in the node with a driver name. However, usually a single driver supports multiple compatible strings which causes that only devices which its compatible string matches a driver name get bound. To overcome this issue, this patch adds the U_BOOT_DRIVER_ALIAS macro, which generates no code at all, but allows an easy way to declare driver name aliases. Thanks to this, dtoc could be improve to look for the driver name based on its alias when it populates the U_BOOT_DEVICE entry. * drivers: rename drivers to match compatible stringWalter Lozano2020-07-091-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When using OF_PLATDATA, the bind process between devices and drivers is performed trying to match compatible string with driver names. However driver names are not strictly defined, and also there are different names used when declaring a driver with U_BOOT_DRIVER, the name of the symbol used in the linker list and the used in the struct driver_info. In order to make things a bit more clear, rename the drivers names. This will also help for further OF_PLATDATA improvements, such as checking for valid driver names. * dm: core: Create a new header file for 'compat' featuresSimon Glass2020-02-053-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | BD71837 and BD71847 is PMIC intended for powering single-core, dual-core, and quad-core SoC’s such as NXP-i.MX 8M. BD71847 is used for example on NXP imx8mm EVK. Add regulator driver for ROHM BD71837 and BD71847 PMICs. BD71837 contains 8 bucks and 7 LDOS. BD71847 is reduced version containing 6 bucks and 6 LDOs. Voltages for DVS bucks (1-4 on BD71837, 1 and 2 on BD71847) can be adjusted when regulators are enabled. For other bucks and LDOs we may have over- or undershooting if voltage is adjusted when regulator is enabled. Thus this is prevented by default. BD718x7 has a quirk which may leave power output disabled after reset if enable/disable state was controlled by SW. Thus the SW control is only allowed for BD71837 bucks 3 and 4 by default. The impact of this limitation must be evaluated board-by board and restrictions may need to be modified. (Linux driver get's these limitations from DT and we may want to implement same on u-Boot driver). Only setting/reading the programmed voltage is supported at this time and the following device functionality remains unsupported: - switching the selected voltage (via a GPIO) - disabling the voltage output via software-control This matches the functionality of the Linux driver.
