| | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_DEV CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_PART Note that with this conversion we now have consistent behavior with respect to ensuring that we have always selected the correct MMC device and hardware partition. * env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini2019-11-201-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. | | | | | | | | | | | Today in initr_reloc_global_data() we use some non-obvious tests to determine if we need to relocate the env_addr within gd or not. In order to facilitate migration of other symbols to Kconfig we need to introduce a new symbol for this particular use case. * hikey: Allow environment to store in eMMC and increase bootdelayManivannan Sadhasivam2019-02-191-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | Current Hikey configuration allows us to store u-boot environment on uSD card. But this will be useless if uSD card is not inserted, hence use the onboard eMMC memory for storing environment at Boot1 partition. While we are at it, let's increase the boot delay to 10s also. * Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to KconfigTom Rini2018-03-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Having this as a 'default y' is rather annoying because it doesn't actually compile unless other options are defined in the board header: ../cmd/bootm.c: In function 'do_imls_nor': ../cmd/bootm.c:330:7: error: 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_SECT'? i < CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS; ++i, ++info) { Make it 'default n' so people who develop new boards that start from a blank defconfig have one less compilation failure to debug. By default we now output to UART3 as the latest version of ATF outputs to this UART. Also UART3 comes out on the LS connector, as opposed to UART0 which goes to a unpopulated header. As part of this change we also enable CONFIG_BOARD_EARLY_INIT_F and call the pinmux configuration code for the UART. Before we were relying on ATF having already configured the pin configuration.
