* configs: Migrate CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORKTom Rini2018-02-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Migrate the option CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK and make this gate most of the current set of options we have in Kconfig. We will need to have some options available for SPL and !SPL_FRAMEWORK so this is important. In a few cases we re-order existing options so that we have less escapes from the SPL_FRAMEWORK guard. * configs: Migrate CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASETom Rini2018-02-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers. I did not attempt to add more default values in and for now will leave that to maintainers. * Kconfig: Migrate MTDIDS_DEFAULT / MTDPARTS_DEFAULTTom Rini2017-11-051-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | We move all instances of CONFIG_MTDIDS_DEFAULT and CONFIG_MTDPARTS_DEFAULT from the header files to the defconfig files. There's a few cases here where we need to expand upon what was in the header file. Tested-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com> #omap3_logic Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* cmd: Toggle the default value of CONFIG_CMD_IMLSTuomas Tynkkynen2017-10-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Having this as a 'default y' is rather annoying because it doesn't actually compile unless other options are defined in the board header: ../cmd/bootm.c: In function 'do_imls_nor': ../cmd/bootm.c:330:7: error: 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_SECT'? i < CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS; ++i, ++info) { Make it 'default n' so people who develop new boards that start from a blank defconfig have one less compilation failure to debug. * Convert CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC/NAND/UBI and NOWHERE to KconfigSimon Glass2017-07-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. * flash: complete CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH move with renamingMasahiro Yamada2017-02-121-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH. Actually, we have more instances of "#ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH" than those of "#ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH". Flipping the logic will make the code more readable. Besides, negative meaning symbols do not fit in obj-$(CONFIG_...) style Makefiles. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit "default n" to "default y" in the config entry in common/Kconfig. [2] Run "tools/moveconfig.py -y -r HEAD SYS_NO_FLASH" [3] Rename the instances in defconfigs by the following: find . -path './configs/*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i \ -e '/CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH=y/d' \ -e 's/# CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH is not set/CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH=y/' [4] Change the conditionals by the following: find . -name '*.[ch]' | xargs sed -i \ -e 's/ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifdef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifndef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/!defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' \ -e 's/defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/!defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' [5] Modify the following manually - Rename the rest of instances - Remove the description from README - Create the new Kconfig entry in drivers/mtd/Kconfig - Remove the old Kconfig entry from common/Kconfig - Remove the garbage comments from include/configs/*.h Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>

* Kconfig: Move CONFIG_FIT and related options to KconfigSimon Glass2016-03-141-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. * Move default y configs out of arch/board KconfigJoe Hershberger2015-06-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate. Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs. A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. * Clean all defconfigs with savedefconfigJoe Hershberger2015-05-121-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to reduce merge conflicts and to maintain the simplest possible defconfig files, we should be using the savedefconfig feature of Kconfig every time a new feature is added. * kconfig: remove meaningless prefixes in defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada2015-03-151-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit e02ee2548afe (kconfig: switch to single .config configuration), the prefixes in defconfig files such as "+S:", "+ST:", etc., are meaningless. This commit was generated by the following command: find configs -name '*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i 's/^+*S*T*://' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
* kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada2014-07-301-0/+5
This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
