| | | | | | | | | | Falcon mode allows the SPL to load and jump directly to the kernel, without loading U-Boot proper. Add detailed step by step on how to use Falcon mode on pico-imx6ul. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <festevam@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Otavio Salvador <otavio@ossystems.com.br>
* pico-imx6ul: Add Falcon mode supportOtavio Salvador2018-09-141-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | Falcon mode boots the kernel directly from SPL, without loading the full U-Boot. * pico-imx6ul: Convert to SPLFabio Estevam2018-09-142-1/+116
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are two versions of imx6ul pico SOMs: one with 256MB and another one with 512MB of RAM. Convert to SPL so that both versions can be supported. This patch doesn't rework the clock initialization to avoid changing the behavior in this same patch, so it will be cleaned up in future. Currently only the 256MB is tested/supported. * pico-imx7d: Add SPL supportFabio Estevam2018-07-234-99/+118
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Convert pico-imx7d to SPL support. There are two variants of pico-imx7d SOMs: - One with 512MB of RAM - One with 1GB of RAM The 512MB module contains two Hynix H5TC2G63GFR-PBA. The 1GB module contains two Hynix H5TC4G63GFR-PBA. The RAM size is determined in runtime by reading GPIO1_12. While at it, also add USB Serial Download mode support as it is very helpful for loading SPL and u-boot.img via imx_usb_loader. * twister: Let SPL load U-Boot from MMCLadislav Michl2018-05-231-9/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | MMC is not initialized in SPL, so it cannot load u-boot.img preventing boot from MMC. Also driver specific functions are guarded with generic configuration options which leads to build failures when device driver is not enabled in config. Fix that by using driver specific defines. * SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-0712-28/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/. * arm: omap3: Add HEAD acoustics (HA) board variant omap3_ha to tao3530Stefan Roese2013-12-122-0/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | The Head acoustics (HA) baseboard used the Technexion TAO3530 SOM and has only some minor differences to the Technexion Thunder baseboard. This patch adds support for this HA baseboard / TAO3530 as the "omap3_ha" build target.
