* | pcmcia vs. MECR on pxa25x/sa1111Pavel Machek2011-02-193-1/+3
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | After 2.6.34 changes, __pxa2xx_drv_pcmcia_probe() was replaced by sa1111_pcmcia_add(). That unfortunately means that configure_sockets() is not called, leading to MECR not being set properly, leading to strange crashes. Tested on pxa255+sa1111, I do not have lubbock board nearby. Perhaps cleaner solution exists? Signed-off-by: Pavel Machek <pma@sysgo.com> Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
* kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERTDavid Rientjes2011-01-201-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than only small devices. This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc). Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they are making should enable it. | * | | ARM: pxa: Access SMEMC via virtual addressesMarek Vasut2010-12-161-8/+20
| | |/ | |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is important because on PXA3xx, the physical mapping of SMEMC registers differs from the one on PXA2xx. In order to get PCMCIA working on both PXA2xx and PXA320, the PCMCIA driver was adjusted accordingly as well. Also, various places in the kernel had to be patched to use __raw_read/__raw_write.
