Here we add support to GHCi for StaticPointers. This process begins by
adding remote GHCi messages for adding entries to the static pointer
table. We then collect binders needing SPT entries after linking and
send the interpreter a message adding entries with the appropriate
fingerprints.

Introduce a warning, -Wmissing-home-modules, to warn about home modules,
not listed in command line.
It is usefull for cabal when user fails to list a module in
`exposed-modules` and `other-modules`.

Summary:

This was originally added in https://phabricator.haskell.org/D2826
but that led to a compatibility issue with ghc 7.10.x on Windows.
That's fixed here and the revert reverted.

Summary:
Previously we would just let compilation proceed along until
we tried to pull up the Module for the hsig file, and get
main:A instead of <A>, and get a mysterious error. Check
for this earlier!

It turns out that we don't really need to be able to
extract a ComponentId from UnitId, except in one case.
So compress UnitId into a single FastString.
The one case where we do need the ComponentId is when
we are compiling an instantiated version of a package;
we need the ComponentId to look up the indefinite
version of this package from the database. So now we
just pass it in as an argument -this-component-id.
Also: ghc-pkg now no longer will unregister a package if
you register one with the same package name, if the
instantiations don't match.
Cabal submodule update which tracks the same data type
change.

This patch implements Backpack for GHC. It's a big patch but I've tried quite
hard to keep things, by-in-large, self-contained.

In Trac #9221 one of problems using high --jobs=<N>
is amount of mutator (or GC) threads we crate.
We use userspace spinning-and-yielding (see ACQUIRE_SPIN_LOCK)
to acess work stealing queues. In case of
N-worker-threads > N-CPUs fraction of time when
thread holding spin lock gets descheduled by kernel
increases. That causes other threads to waste CPU time
before giving up CPU.

We want to remove the `Ord Unique` instance because there's
no way to implement it in deterministic way and it's too
easy to use by accident.
We sometimes compute SCC for datatypes whose Ord instance
is implemented in terms of Unique. The Ord constraint on
SCC is just an artifact of some internal data structures.
We can have an alternative implementation with a data
structure that uses Uniquable instead.
This does exactly that and I'm pleased that I didn't have
to introduce any duplication to do that.

This isn't strictly necessary for deterministic ABIs.
The results of eltsHpt are consumed in two ways:
1) they determine the order of linking
2) if you track the data flow all the family instances get put in
FamInstEnvs, so the nondeterministic order is forgotten.
3) same for VectInfo stuff
4) same for Annotations
The problem is that I haven't found a nice way to do 2. in
a local way and 1. is nice to have if we went for deterministic
object files. Besides these maps are keyed on ModuleNames so they
should be small relative to other things and the overhead should
be negligible.
As a bonus we also get more specific names.

This adds timings and allocation figures to the compiler's output when
run with `-v2` in an effort to ease performance analysis.

Both gcc and clang tell which warning flag a reported warning can be
controlled with, this patch makes ghc do the same. More generally, this
allows for annotated compiler output, where an optional annotation is
displayed in brackets after the severity.
This also adds a new flag `-f(no-)show-warning-groups` to control
whether to show which warning-group (such as `-Wall` or `-Wcompat`)
a warning belongs to. This flag is on by default.

Summary:
In the past the canonical way for constructing an SDoc string literal was the
composition `ptext . sLit`. But for some time now we have function `text` that
does the same. Plus it has some rules that optimize its runtime behaviour.
This patch takes all uses of `ptext . sLit` in the compiler and replaces them
with calls to `text`. The main benefits of this patch are clener (shorter) code
and less dependencies between module, because many modules now do not need to
import `FastString`. I don't expect any performance benefits - we mostly use
SDocs to report errors and it seems there is little to be gained here.

Summary:
(Apologies for the size of this patch, I couldn't make a smaller one
that was validate-clean and also made sense independently)
(Some of this code is derived from GHCJS.)
This commit adds support for running interpreted code (for GHCi and
TemplateHaskell) in a separate process. The functionality is
experimental, so for now it is off by default and enabled by the flag
-fexternal-interpreter.
Reaosns we want this:
* compiling Template Haskell code with -prof does not require
building the code without -prof first
* when GHC itself is profiled, it can interpret unprofiled code, and
the same applies to dynamic linking. We would no longer need to
force -dynamic-too with TemplateHaskell, and we can load ordinary
objects into a dynamically-linked GHCi (and vice versa).
* An unprofiled GHCi can load and run profiled code, which means it
can use the stack-trace functionality provided by profiling without
taking the performance hit on the compiler that profiling would
entail.

Notes on the implementation are in Note [Remote GHCi] in the new
module compiler/ghci/GHCi.hs. It probably needs more documenting,
feel free to suggest things I could elaborate on.
Things that are not currently implemented for -fexternal-interpreter:
* The GHCi debugger
* :set prog, :set args in GHCi
* `recover` in Template Haskell
* Redirecting stdin/stdout for the external process
These are all doable, I just wanted to get to a working validate-clean
patch first.
I also haven't done any benchmarking yet. I expect there to be slight hit
to link times for byte code and some penalty due to having to
serialize/deserialize TH syntax, but I don't expect it to be a serious
problem. There's also lots of low-hanging fruit in the byte code
generator/linker that we could exploit to speed things up.

* I've run parts of the test suite with
EXTRA_HC_OPTS=-fexternal-interpreter, notably tests/ghci and tests/th.
There are a few failures due to the things not currently implemented
(see above).

This exposes `template-haskell` functions for querying the language
extensions which are enabled when compiling a module,
- an `isExtEnabled` function to check whether an extension is enabled
- an `extsEnabled` function to obtain a full list of enabled extensions
To avoid code duplication this adds a `GHC.LanguageExtensions` module to
`ghc-boot` and moves `DynFlags.ExtensionFlag` into it. A happy
consequence of this is that the ungainly `DynFlags` lost around 500
lines. Moreover, flags corresponding to language extensions are now
clearly distinguished from other flags due to the `LangExt.*` prefix.
Updates haddock submodule.
This fixes #10820.

This patch drops the file level distinction between hs-boot and hsig;
we figure out which one we are compiling based on whether or not there
is a corresponding hs file lying around.
To make the "import A" syntax continue to work for bare hs-boot
files, we also introduce hs-boot merging, which takes an A.hi-boot
and converts it to an A.hi when there is no A.hs file in scope.
This will be generalized in Backpack to merge multiple A.hi files together;
which means we can jettison the "load multiple interface files" functionality.
This works automatically for --make, but for one-shot compilation
we need a new mode: ghc --merge-requirements A will generate an A.hi/A.o
from a local A.hi-boot file; Backpack will extend this mechanism further.
Has Haddock submodule update to deal with change in msHsFilePath behavior.
- This commit drops support for the hsig extension. Can
we support it? It's annoying because the finder code is
written with the assumption that where there's an hs-boot
file, there's always an hs file too. To support hsig, you'd
have to probe two locations. Easier to just not support it.
- #10333 affects us, modifying an hs-boot still doesn't trigger
recomp.
- See compiler/main/Finder.hs: this diff is very skeevy, but
it seems to work.
- This code cunningly doesn't drop hs-boot files from the
"drop hs-boot files" module graph, if they don't have a
corresponding hs file. I have no idea if this actually is useful.

Phab:D907 introduced SourceText for a number of data types, by replacing
FastString with (SourceText,FastString). Since this has an Outputable
instance, no warnings are generated when ppr is called on it, but
unexpected output is generated. See Phab:D1096 for an example of this.
Replace the (SourceText,FastString) tuples with a new data type,
```lang=hs
data StringLiteral = StringLiteral SourceText FastString
```

Retain ic_monad and ic_int_print in InteractiveContext after load
when they are defined in external packages. This is supposed to be
the desired behavior that the interactive-print and setGHCiMonad
will survive after :cd, :add, :load, :reload and :set in GHCi.
Test Plan:
Install a interactive-print function and GHCi monad from extenal
pacakge. Try :cd, :load and other commands, make sure that the
interactive-print function and GHCi monad always keep the same.
