Merge branch 'tr/fd-gotcha-fixes'
Two places we did not check return value (expected to be a file
descriptor) correctly.
* tr/fd-gotcha-fixes:
run-command: dup_devnull(): guard against syscalls failing
git_mkstemps: correctly test return value of open()
