Connecting to the nfs server would fail because one of the services
would segfault, because nfs-utils used a pointer before checking whether
it was NULL, and gcc would later optimise away the null pointer check.

Upstream have not released a new version since April 1997.
Additionally, newer daemons and applications are inconsistent in their
support for libwrap, leading to confusion as to whether an application
supports the library.

This new version of libevent is the latest stable release
"release-2.0.21-stable" with a patch from upstream on the
top to make libevent compatible with new versions of automake.
Upstream doesn't have stable releases with the fix yet.
