From fbd0b0af6800f6ff89857863d6a07ea03f09ff6c Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Bram Moolenaar Date: Sat, 17 Jun 2017 18:44:21 +0200 Subject: patch 8.0.0643: when a pattern search is slow Vim becomes unusable Problem: When 'hlsearch' is set and matching with the last search pattern is very slow, Vim becomes unusable. Cannot quit search by pressing CTRL-C. Solution: When the search times out set a flag and don't try again. Check for timeout and CTRL-C in NFA loop that adds states. --- src/spell.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'src/spell.c') diff --git a/src/spell.c b/src/spell.c index 118e78bc0..0eb87638e 100644 --- a/src/spell.c +++ b/src/spell.c @@ -3675,7 +3675,7 @@ ex_spellrepall(exarg_T *eap UNUSED) curwin->w_cursor.lnum = 0; while (!got_int) { - if (do_search(NULL, '/', frompat, 1L, SEARCH_KEEP, NULL) == 0 + if (do_search(NULL, '/', frompat, 1L, SEARCH_KEEP, NULL, NULL) == 0 || u_save_cursor() == FAIL) break; -- cgit v1.2.1
