* dm: util: Add a livetree equivalent API of dm_fdt_pre_reloc()Bin Meng2018-11-141-1/+26
| | | | | | | | This adds a new API dm_ofnode_pre_reloc(), a livetree equivalent API of dm_fdt_pre_reloc(). Signed-off-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* dm: replace dm_dbg() with pr_debug()Masahiro Yamada2017-10-041-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | As we discussed before in ML, dm_dbg() causes undefined reference error if #define DEBUG is added to users, but not drivers/core/util.c We do not need this macro because we can use pr_debug() instead, and it is pretty easy to enable it for the DM core by using ccflags-y. * dm: Return actual bools in dm_fdt_pre_relocHeiko Stübner2017-03-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Documentation says that we're returning true/false, not 1/0 so adapt the function to return actual booleans. Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko@sntech.de> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: allow limiting pre-reloc markings to spl or tplHeiko Stübner2017-03-161-0/+26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Right now the u-boot,dm-pre-reloc flag will make each marked node always appear in both spl and tpl. But systems needing an additional tpl might have special constraints for each, like the spl needing to be very tiny. So introduce two additional flags to mark nodes for only spl or tpl environments and introduce a function dm_fdt_pre_reloc to automate the necessary checks in code instances checking for pre-relocation flags. The behaviour of the original flag stays untouched and still marks a node for both spl and tpl. * devres: add debug command to dump device resourcesMasahiro Yamada2015-08-061-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This new command can dump all device resources associated to each device. The fields in every line shows: - The address of the resource - The size of the resource - The name of the release function - The stage in which the resource has been acquired (BIND/PROBE) Currently, there is no driver using devres, but if such drivers are implemented, the output of this command should look like this: => dm devres - root_driver - soc - extbus - serial@54006800 bfb541e8 (8 byte) devm_kmalloc_release BIND bfb54440 (4 byte) devm_kmalloc_release PROBE bfb54460 (4 byte) devm_kmalloc_release PROBE - serial@54006900 bfb54270 (8 byte) devm_kmalloc_release BIND - gpio@55000000 - i2c@58780000 bfb5bce8 (12 byte) devm_kmalloc_release PROBE bfb5bd10 (4 byte) devm_kmalloc_release PROBE - eeprom bfb54418 (12 byte) devm_kmalloc_release BIND Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: Move the tree/uclass dump code into its own fileSimon Glass2015-07-211-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | In SPL it is sometimes useful to be able to obtain a dump of the current driver model state. Since commands are not available, provide a way to directly call the functions to output this information. Adjust the existing commands to use these functions. * dm: Disable dm_warn() in SPLSimon Glass2014-11-211-0/+6
| | | | | | | | Since this function can use up quite a bit of space for its strings, disable it by default in SPL. Use CONFIG_DM_WARN to re-enable it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

* dm: Add base driver model supportSimon Glass2014-03-041-0/+29
Add driver model functionality for generic board. This includes data structures and base code for registering devices and uclasses (groups of devices with the same purpose, e.g. all I2C ports will be in the same uclass). The feature is enabled with CONFIG_DM.
