From 5430f7f2bc7330f3088b894166bf3524a067e3d8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Lennart Poettering Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2012 00:20:58 +0200 Subject: relicense to LGPLv2.1 (with exceptions) We finally got the OK from all contributors with non-trivial commits to relicense systemd from GPL2+ to LGPL2.1+. Some udev bits continue to be GPL2+ for now, but we are looking into relicensing them too, to allow free copy/paste of all code within systemd. The bits that used to be MIT continue to be MIT. The big benefit of the relicensing is that closed source code may now link against libsystemd-login.so and friends. --- man/machine-info.xml | 8 ++++---- 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 4 deletions(-) (limited to 'man/machine-info.xml') diff --git a/man/machine-info.xml b/man/machine-info.xml index 240da25a6b..e27b600211 100644 --- a/man/machine-info.xml +++ b/man/machine-info.xml @@ -9,16 +9,16 @@ Copyright 2010 Lennart Poettering systemd is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it - under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by - the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or + under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License as published by + the Free Software Foundation; either version 2.1 of the License, or (at your option) any later version. systemd is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
